These are REALLY nice
5 Stars

At $299, they're worth their asking price. At $150? There isn't anything that touches these. The fit and finish is impeccable, the welt stitch nearly flawless. These should break in very nicely, as the kudu leather is extremely soft, and the last fits my foot shape perfectly. I measure a 10.5D on the Brannock, and purchased a size 43. With a narrower heel and wider toe box (nailed it!), these perfect with thinner dress socks, and snug but still comfortable with thicker boot socks. The Vibram Gumlite sole is really comfortable too, pleasingly springy, though I'm curious to see how they'd fare on more slippery surfaces and how they'll hold up in the long run. I wouldn't have found these if I hadn't been explicitly looking for a desert boot in kudu leather. The fact that a brand that is unknown in the high-quality recraftable shoe market is putting out Italian-made exotic leather products is awesome, but it also means that these shoes won't be on anybody's radar. If this style of shoe is what you're looking for, absolutely do not sleep on these. They may look slightly more formal with that rich brown and subtle pebble grain, but the kudu already comes naturally marked, a characteristic of game leather. I can't wait to beat on these, give them even more character, and resole them again and again. The only con? The laces kind of suck. They're super thin, and should have been waxed cotton. Oh well, a cheap and easy fix, and not detrimental at all to the incredible value on display here.
