We took the original Beartooth Mid and tried to improve upon excellence. As with everything we manufacture and sell, we strive for perfection. While perfection may ultimately be unattainable, we have found over the course of 70+ years that only by seeking perfection can one attain the exceptional. With the 2.0 version of our Beartooth Mid, we wanted to maintain the simple, classic styling for which the Beartooth Mid is known. A new Dual Density PU midsole offers greater stability, comfort and durability. Roller bearing hardware makes lace-ups a breeze and lacing tension consistent. 100% waterproof membrane construction keeps Mother Nature out. Premium 2.6mm genuine leather construction provides ample ankle support and protection from jagged rocks and brush. In relation to our full family of Schnee’s alpine and trekking boots, our new Beartooth Mid II is similar to the Absaroka, with more flex in the midsole. Schnee’s Beartooth Mid II is one of our most popular choices for early season all-mountain hiking and hunting.

On the way home from a mountain hunt cut short by worn out boots, I ordered a pair of the Beartooth Mids and they arrived in GA 7 days later. I wear a size 13 in most shoes but always upsize boots to a 14 to accommodate socks and tired feet. Fit is perfect. The boots were very stiff when they arrived but after daily wear for three weeks they have loosened up significantly and I feel comfortable wearing them on a week-long mountain hunt in a few days. At this point, I have been very impressed by the boots and look forward to many years of wear.
First let me say that Schnees customer service is second to none. I purchased my first pair of Granite boots in 2010 and I still have them, I have purchased their pac boots and they are extremely comfortable and warm. I purchased the bear tooth two days before I went on A Wyoming high country mule deer hunt. I put many miles on these boots up and down the mountain any where from 10,600' down to 8800' I had my camp on my back and I experienced rain sleet and snow. 30 degrees to 65 degrees and had absolutely no issues what so ever with hot spots or blisters or wet feet. They grip the ground and handle the weight of my 40LB Mystery ranch pack. I am completely satisfied. Thank you Schnees!!
