We developed our the Beartooth Classic in honor of the traditional leather-lined alpine boots of the past. Leather lined boots are something of a throwback to more traditional boot-crafting. Many of our customers have asked us if we might consider making a version of the Beartooth with leather lining. With the introduction of our Beartooth Classic, we are pleased to comply. As with all of the second generation of our alpine boots, we built our new Beartooth Classic with upgraded midsole technology using our Dual Density PU midsole, offering greater stability, comfort and durability. New roller bearing hardware makes lace-ups consistent and easy. Why do some experienced mountain people prefer leather lined boots? For an early season hiker, leather lining is an excellent wicking agent and helps to keep your socks and feet dry in warm climates. We recommend our Beartooth Classic as an early season traditional hiker, best used in drier climates.

Caring For Your New Mountain Boots
We recommend using Nikwax on our Mountain Boots at least twice a year, prior to your hunting season and afterwards if you're going to store the boots until next year, and as needed throughout the year especially if you have been hunting in wet conditions.
We recommend using leather conditioner on our Mountain Boots after you've confirmed they fit and you're ready to begin breaking them in. We also suggest reapplying as needed throughout the lifetime of the boots as the leather begins to dry out and/or stiffen up.
