starstarstarstarstar GREAT BOOTS

By: Dan - NJ/WV August 27, 2008
I purchased a pair of these boots some time ago and they are awesome. They have been worn to death and are still going strong. The extra money for Schnee boots will save you money in the long run. I threw my other boots made by "LL somebody" in the trash. YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY.

starstarstarstarstar Excellent Service

By: Matt Richards - Santa Fe Texas March 25, 2008
I bought these boots for an upcoming Idaho elk hunt after numerous recommendations. I have worn them on several local day hunts and hikes so far and have found them to be extremely comfortable and dry. But what I would really like to review at this point is Schnee's customer service. Curt the general manager was very helpful and proffesional in helping me get the correct size. The first pair I received turned out to be too large, but Curt sent out another pair and kept me informed as to the status of the shipment and my return credit. I feel I have made a great choice and have enjoyed doing business with Schnee's.

I have just purchased my third pair of Schnee's pac boots. (a silent auction at a RMEF BGB) I am a carpenter and wear my 10" Hunters everyday, since 1994, providing its cold enough here in Minnesota. I love my Schnee's and thought I'd treat my feet to a new pair of 13" Hunters. I treat them with only Mt.Pitch Blend and have been standing in 8" of water for 6 hours, ice fishing. Dry feet is all I can say. Did I mention that I love my Schnee's, buy a pair, their customer service is great too.

starstarstarstarstar 13" Hunter II

By: K. Webb - Cottontown, Tennessee February 17, 2008
I ordered a pair of the 13" Hunter II boots on 11/15/04. These boots are excellent!! I had previously bought LaCrosse "waterproof" boots, but had to send them back because they leaked. They also rubbed blisters on the back of my heels. The replacements also leaked. I applied plasti-seam and Montana Pitch to the boots as per directions. They do not leak and are very comfortable. I coon hunt and deer hunt in these boots. These boots haven't even begun to wear. Just a few scratch marks on the leather from briars, etc. after four hunting seasons! I wear these boots from before first light to after dark and my feet do not hurt; they are very comfortable. The Advantage sole has plenty of traction for hills and for climbing up and down creek banks. These are good boots!!!

By: Dan Maurer - Minnesota December 16, 2007
Have only owned them for about a month, but i already know these are the best boots made. I work for a tree service, and i wear these boots all day everyday. My feet stay warm, dry, and are always comfortable. I wear them to work, hunting, fishing, everywhere. Simply the best boot i have ever worn.
Thanks

While I had always had an affection for pack boots, they had poor grip (uninsualted) or were too bulky and without adequate support (insulated). Schnee's Hunter II solved both of these problems. The air bob sole grips well, even on side hills covered with wet leaves. They have adequate insulation for prolonged inactivity in cold weather. Further, these boots allow freedom of movement with excellent ankle and arch support and yet are suprisingly nimble. Additionally these boots have stood up well to miles of walking in varied consitions from water to snow to rough terrain. Just clean, rub in another coat of Obenauf's heavy duty LP, as suggested, and they look, feel, and perform better than new. I can't waite for the cold weather as they are my "go to boot."

I learned about these boots from the Bear Guides at D.N.A. Guiding in Sask. Canada. These boots, for them, are a tool of need. For me, I can enjoy their fit and comfort when I'm hunting the woods of Canada, or stompin the horse farms of Kentucky! Good boot,NO worries!

As a guide and Outfitter I can not afford to have my boots let me down.I am entering my second full season with my Hunter II boots and the are in my opinion the best boot out on the market. From spring Turkey hunts or scouting for whitetails, hanging stands or a late winter muzzle loading hunt my Schnees wont let me down. Thanks for such a comfortable boot that performs .

starstarstarstarstar Hardcore Boots

By: Anonymous August 14, 2007
For my first trip to Montana, I had a pair of LaCrosse Buckmaster Pacs, which are okay for hunting in the MidWest. But, I wasn't that happy with them on a mountain in Montana. The sole wasn't sturdy enough, they were hard to lace, and weren't all that warm. Everyone else was wearing Schnee's in camp, and I wondered if I was missing something. After the hunt, I ordered a pair of Schnee's, and couldn't be happier. I wear these things all the time, from elk hunts in MT, pheasant and deer hunts in the Midwest, shoveling the driveway, and sometimes too and from work! I walk through creeks and heavy snows, and they have never failed to keep my feet warm and dry. Good footwear is a very important part of enjoying a hunt, and these pacs are worth every penny. -Dan (St. Louis)

starstarstarstarstar An Excellent Experience

By: Anonymous June 4, 2007
Schnee's Hunter Pac Boots helped to make my elk hunt an excellent experience. From lacing them up before first light, through walking miles in the Crazy Mountains in the snow and mud, to this beautiful bull in the afternoon sun and loading the last elk under the Milky Way, my feet were perfectly comfortable. I've never had a pair of boots fit and serve so well the first time I put them on. My feet were warm while we sat in the morning snow and comfortable as we walked in the afternoon heat. Thanks Schnee's for being a key part of a once in a lifetime elk hunt! I look forward to many more hunts with Schnee's. - Jeff (Aberdeen, South Dakota)

starstarstarstarstar Recieved a pair as a gift.

By: Anonymous January 18, 2007
I got a pair of these boots last weekend as a Birthday gift and my feet have been toasty warm in the cold Alaska winter, their traction is better then the previous boots I used, and they are comfortable enough that I could wear them all day long if I needed to. Thanks for such a great product.

starstarstarstarstar SCHNEE's in the Big woods of Maine

By: Anonymous November 15, 2006
I just got back from a Maine deer hunt where I was able to get true feel for my SCHNEE pac boots. Aftyer logging in tens of miles I can say that think these are the best pac boots I ever owned. The tread was great in mud and snow and they kept my feet warm and dry even after a few creek crossings. Very well made and comfortable as well.

After only two months of use, I have grown to love this boot. It has performed flawlessly in very harsh terrain and temps. Highly recommend!

Full grain leather 6-1/2 ounce full-grain oil tanned leather uppers provide support, protection, and durability. Supple, full-grain, oil tanned (not split) bellows tongues make for easy on/off and lacing comfort.

Brass eyelets, Taslon laces Solid brass logger eyelets and speed lacing hooks that won't corrode or bend open. Heavy duty Taslon laces for support and dependability in the field.

Removable quilted liner Schnee removable combination liners are quilted layers of Cambrelle nylon that wicks perspiration and improves durability, 400 gram Thinsulate™ insulation for significant warmth without the bulk of a normal pac style boot, and finally 3mm of wool felt on the outside of the liner adds comfort and insulates even when damp with perspiration.

Triple stitching Triple stitching with bonded nylon guaranteed not to fail for the life of the boots.

Handcrafted rubber bottom Handmade 100% rubber bottoms are waterproof, supportive, and durable. They feature firm thermal plastic heel counters that provide the support of an all leather boot and steel shanks that give arch support for comfortable walking all day long. We import the finest natural rubber bottoms that get pieced together by hand, then "vulcanized" the old-fashioned way. That makes them 100% waterproof.

Advantage air bob sole Schnee's exclusive Advantage outsole features soft air bobs in the center and firm lugs around the outside edge. The result is outstanding traction.

Fits in standard stirrup Most Schnee Pac Boots fit easily into standard stirrups. Boots with extra insulation like the Arctic series will require oversized stirrups.

Fully rebuildable Schnee's Pac Boots are completely rebuildable. For a nominal fee, the entire rubber bottom can be replaced along with repair to the leather uppers and new stitching where needed. This is another sign of the true quality of our pac boots. Find out more about our rebuild services.
